It’s that time of year again: the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival! Living in Florida, I get super excited to go to this annual event at Walt Disney World. The International Food and Wine Festival takes place in EPCOT at Walt Disney World and lasts from July until November . It’s an event where all participating countries from (North America to Africa) in EPCOT showcase their best foods and drinks. The festival does not cost anything additional, but you must have a valid EPCOT Disney World ticket.
When you first walk in, you can get overwhelmed and confused at where to start. Your best bet is to make your way to get a little magical booklet found at each food station. This booklet lists each country, the food they are selling, and their location in the park. It’s really helpful to have a guide like this when there are so many delicious choices. I flipped through the booklet, marked my must-haves, and took off on the food tour of a lifetime!
One thing that I love about this festival is that each dish is priced modestly, about $5 – $8 each. This is great because you can taste so many different dishes and not break the bank. I went with family and friends and we all bought something different at the stands and shared with each other. The alcoholic cocktails are on the pricier side though with beverages starting at around $13.
My belly didn’t allow me to taste everything, but I worked my way through a few countries. Scroll down to the bottom of this post to view all of the countries and what they served.
France
Goodies I got:
- Beignet aux Trois Fromages: A warm beignet filled with three cheese blend.
- Crème Brulee Vanille a la Confiture de Framboises: Vanilla crème brulee with house-made raspberry jam
- La Passion Martini Slush: Vodka, Grey goose Le Citron, Cranberry, and Passion Fruit Juice
My review: This was my first time trying a savory beignet and let me tell you, I could have gone my entire life without trying it. The cheese was bland and runny; I just didn’t like it. But, the actual beignet was tasty. Our last treat in Spain, the crème brulee, wasn’t sweet like I expected, which was strange. The all star of this trifecta was the Martini slush. It was so delicious and the passion fruit juice tasted so fresh!
In conclusion, go for the drinks and save the food for other tasty countries!

Brazil
Goodies I got:
- Feijoda: Black beans with crispy pork belly, brazil nut pesto, and long grain rice
My review: This dish BLEW MY MIND! It was so tasty. The pork belly was flavorful and the rice and brazil nut pesto made me want to book a flight to Brazil asap. It’s a must have in worldly showcase.

Belgium
Goodies I got:
- Beer-braised Beef: Beef with smoked gouda mashed potatoes
- Belgian Waffle: Waffle with warm chocolate ganache
My review: The beer-braised beef was a little tough. It took a good minute to chew through. So, obviously this wasn’t my favorite. The saving grace was the smoked gouda mashed potatoes. They were SO good. I could’ve ate an entire pot.
The Belgian waffle was perhaps my favorite sweet item of the day. It was so warm and fresh. It reminded me of a soft, warm chocolate chip cookie. It was heaven on a plate.

Spain
Goodies I got:
- Charcuterie: A selection of imported Spanish meats, cheeses, olives, and a herb vinaigrette
- Paella: Rice, chorizo and Shrimp
My review: I was really excited to try these dishes but unfortunately they both fell flat. The shrimp and sausage were overcooked and the rice was dry in the paella, and the meats didn’t taste very fresh in the charcuterie cup. I will say that I did go towards closing time so I’m sure that it probably tasted better earlier in the day. I would try again!

Honorable Disney Mentions
Goodies I got:
- Churro
- Mickey Mouse Pretzel
- Pineapple Dole Whip
My review: All three of these are classic Disney treats and all three are mouth-watering! The pretzel was soft and buttery, the dole whip was refreshing and the churro was nice and sugary. Just like I like it! I said honorable mention because I didn’t get any of these items at the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. I got them the next day at Hollywood Studios. I just couldn’t write this article without including my all time favorites. They are available at all times at Disney World.
