When I say I love to eat, I mean it. Everywhere that I ate at while in Madrid was SO good, and I am more than happy to share them all with you. I just going to jump right into it because, why not.
Restaurante Botin
This is the oldest running restaurant in the world, according to Guinness Records. This restaurant specializes in the suckling pig and when I say it was incredible, please believe me. They also have amazing sangrias and fresh bread, which is the case all over Madrid. Visit my Instagram page to see a full video of the restaurant.

La Barraca
The restaurant had the best paella I ate while in Madrid. Scratch that. It’s the best paella I’ve eaten in my entire life. I have tried to find it at other restaurants while in Spain and when I got home. No where came close. We actually didn’t have this restaurant on our list of places to go, but the hotel staff recommended it. I’ll admit the pictures don’t do the place justice, but it didn’t disappoint. I won’t step foot back in Madrid without going back.
We got the seafood paella and the rabbit, chicken and green bean paella. I know what you’re thinking, but don’t knock rabbit until you try it. Who knew bunnies could taste so delicious. Ohh not pictured are the sangrias. Which we absolutely got and loved.

La Orza
Now this restaurant is in Toledo. But chances are if you’re going to Madrid, you’ll take a trip here. It’s a fine dining restaurant with traditional dishes served in a modern way. The drinks were drinking and the food was fooding. Now, this restaurant was tasty, but the sucking pig does not come close to Botin. So, chose another option like the delicious scallops instead.
Make sure you don’t skip out on the charcuterie board though. The cheeses and meats just taste so much better in Spain than the U.S.

Barracuda
I know, I know. Mexican food in Spain. But this Mexican food hit different. It’s probably because the Mexican dishes were infused with Spanish flavors, creating a masterpiece. The local fish was soft and flaky and the tacos were bursting with flavor. We had chips and guacamole as well. Such a classic. If you’re looking for a different cuisine in Madrid, this is your spot.
