Ibiza, Spain is a beautiful island located in the Mediterranean Sea, known for its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, and rich cultural heritage. I spent the majority of my time either in or by the majestic water. Most of the beach clubs were closed due to covid so I took advantage of the chance to enjoy the peace.
Although I took a more peaceful route, there’s plenty of things to do in Ibiza. From attending a club party, to partaking in historical tours, here’s a list of things to do on your next vacation to Ibiza.
Also, if you’re looking for luxurious places to stay, check out where we stayed in Ibiza.
Book a Boat Trip in Ibiza

Taking a boat trip is the best way to explore the stunning coastlines and hidden coves of the island. We booked a private boat tour by you can book a semi-private or group tour as well. We had a full-day tour where we snorkeled, swam, and took a dingy to stop and get lunch. It was the perfect day.
If you want to book a tour, Viator is my go-to. I love that there’s free cancellation up until a day before your tour. Usually as soon as I step foot in a new country, a local tells me places to visit that I didn’t know about. So the flexibility with Viator is top notch in my opinion.
Explore the Old Town of Ibiza City

The Old Town of Ibiza City, also known as Dalt Vila, is a charming area is filled with narrow cobbled streets, historic buildings, and charming cafes.
Located on a hill in the historical district, Dalt Vila is a well-preserved example of medieval architecture, with narrow streets, stone walls, and fortified ramparts that date back to the 16th century.
Visitors can explore the maze-like streets, admire the views from the ramparts, and visit cultural landmarks such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria, the Governor’s Palace, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. There are also many restaurants, bars, and shops in the Old Town, as well as vibrant nightlife options.
Whether you’re interested in history, culture, or just want to experience the unique atmosphere of the Old Town, a visit to the historic district of Ibiza City is a must.
Visit the Hippy Markets
While vacationing, I love collecting local spices and seasonings to take back home. One of the things that I wish I did in Ibiza is visit the Hippy Markets for unique souvenirs, handcrafted items, and local produce.
Some of the most popular hippy markets are The Market in Es Canar, Las Dalias in San Carlos, and the market in Playa d’en Bossa. These markets are usually open every Saturday all year around and the market in Playa d’en Bossa is open daily.
Hike to the Top of Sa Talaia
If you’re one of those people that love to wake up early to exercise on vacation, Sa Talaia is the perfect place to watch the sunrise.
Sa Talaia is the highest mountain in Ibiza. Once you reach the top, you’re rewarded with breathtaking, panoramic views of the island. It’s a great spot to hike and picnic on the island. It takes about an hour and a half to reach the peak of Sa Talaia and is considered low difficulty.
Visit the Beaches in Ibiza

Ibiza is famous for its beautiful beaches like Es Cavallet, Cala Jondal, and Cala Gracioneta. Es Cavallet is a long stretch of beach is popular with naturists and is surrounded by sand dunes and pine forests. Cala Jondal is a secluded beach is known for its crystal-clear waters and exclusive beach clubs. Cala Gracioneta is a picturesque bay is surrounded by cliffs and is a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing.
Bonus add: Cala Comte beach is a popular spot for watching the sunset and is surrounded by cliffs and pine forests. The perfect spot for a romantic night. Did I hear engagement?
Attend a Club Party
Ibiza is well-known for its legendary nightlife and club scene, with some of the world’s most famous clubs like Amnesia, Pacha, and Ushuaia. These clubs are known as the places to be to party all night long. Literally. Until the sun comes up.
Buying tickets are recommended because of how crowded the venues get. Tickets allow you to bypass the queue and go right in. Since I refuse to wait in line for hours, I will definitely be purchasing a ticket before I go!
Some night clubs are still temporarily closed as I’m writing this, but you’ll be able to visit in the future so I didn’t want to leave them out!
Enjoy Water Sports
The crystal-clear waters surrounding Ibiza are perfect for activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, and windsurfing. There are so many places on the island to rent gear; I suggest asking your receptionist or host so they can point you to the closest place near you.
One tip that I have to share is to be aware of your surroundings while swimming in the water. I didn’t and got stung by a jellyfish. Lesson learned.
